COMMON SNEAKER SERVICES

01

Sole Separation & Re-Glue

Adhesive failure is one of the most common sneaker problems. Old glue, foam deterioration, synthetic materials, and previous repair attempts can all affect the result.

02

Sneaker Cleaning

Cleaning options depend on upper material, colorfastness, adhesives, and overall condition. Results vary based on what the shoe has been through.

03

Deoxidation

Yellowed sole areas may sometimes be improved, but results depend on the material composition and how long the oxidation has been progressing.

04

Worn Heel Repair

Heel wear may be repairable depending on how much material and structure remain. Heavily worn heels with structural compromise are evaluated case by case.

05

Tears, Holes & Patch Work

Some damaged areas can be reinforced or patched. Appearance and durability depend on the location, size of the damage, and the material involved.

06

Stretching

Some sneakers may allow limited fit adjustment. Synthetic materials and complex constructions generally have less flexibility than genuine leather footwear.

SOLE SEPARATION

WHEN THE SOLE STARTS TALKING.

Sole separation is one of the most common sneaker repair requests. It can result from aged adhesive, heat exposure, moisture damage, foam deterioration, incompatible sole materials, or a previous glue repair that didn’t hold.

Simply applying more glue over a failed bond is rarely a durable fix. The shoe needs to be inspected, cleaned, and properly prepared before rebonding. The right adhesive depends on the specific materials involved — what works on one construction may not work on another.

We assess the full picture before recommending a repair. If the materials can hold a bond, we’ll do the work correctly. If they can’t, we’ll tell you that up front.

MATERIAL REALITY

NOT EVERY SNEAKER MATERIAL AGES THE SAME WAY.

Foam midsoles can crumble. Synthetic coatings can peel. Rubber and plastic components sometimes deteriorate with age regardless of how the shoes were stored or maintained. Old adhesives can contaminate bonding surfaces and make a clean repair difficult or impossible.

Some deterioration cannot be permanently reversed. We’ll tell you exactly what we’re seeing and what’s realistic before any work begins. There’s no benefit to starting a repair that won’t hold.

Sneaker repair is worth pursuing when the shoe has good structure, the materials are stable, and the repair has a reasonable chance of lasting. Bring them in and we’ll assess that honestly.

CLEANING & APPEARANCE

CLEANER DOESN’T ALWAYS MEAN BRAND NEW.

Sneaker cleaning results depend on the upper material, the nature and age of the stains, previous cleaning attempts, and how colorfast the materials are. Some stains respond well. Others are permanent.

We don’t promise complete stain removal or perfect color restoration because those outcomes aren’t always possible. What we can do is clean the shoe properly for its materials and tell you upfront what to expect.

If you’ve used cleaning products at home, let us know. That context helps us understand the current state of the materials before we start.
