MEN’S SHOE REPAIR

GOOD SHOES DON’T HAVE TO END
AT WORN SOLES.

Dress shoes, loafers, boots, and everyday footwear can often be repaired long before they need to be replaced. We evaluate the construction, materials, wear, and previous repairs before recommending the work.

COMMON REPAIRS

WHAT WE WORK ON.

Full Sole Replacement

For worn soles where the shoe’s construction and remaining structure support full replacement.

Half Soles & Sole Protection

Partial sole replacement or protective soling may be appropriate depending on wear pattern and footwear construction.

Heel Repair & Replacement

Repair worn heel surfaces and heel components where the shoe’s structure allows.

Sole Separation & Re-Glue

Materials, previous adhesive, contamination, and deterioration can all affect whether a durable bond can be achieved. An evaluation is required.

Leather Care & Restoration

Cleaning, conditioning, color improvement, polishing, and restoration where the leather’s condition allows.

Stretching & Fit Adjustments

Genuine leather typically responds better than synthetic materials. Results depend on construction and the degree of adjustment needed.

RESOLING

WHEN THE UPPER IS GOOD, THE SOLE
MAY BE WORTH REBUILDING.

Well-made footwear is often worth resoling rather than replacing. A good upper that still has structural integrity can carry a new sole — but not every shoe is built for the same kind of repair.

Whether resoling makes sense depends on how the original sole is attached, the condition of the upper and midsole, what previous repair work has been done, and how much the original materials have deteriorated.

We do not resole every shoe that comes in. Bring yours in and we’ll give you an honest assessment of whether the construction and condition support the work.

CONSTRUCTION & REPAIRABILITY

HOW A SHOE IS BUILT MATTERS.

Two shoes can look almost identical and require very different repairs. The way the upper, welt, midsole, and outsole are assembled affects what can be removed, rebuilt, stitched, or bonded.

Stitched and cemented footwear can call for different approaches. Knowing how a shoe is put together is part of evaluating what repair is possible — and what will hold.

BOOT REPAIR

BOOTS TAKE A BEATING.
THAT DOESN’T ALWAYS MEAN THEY’RE FINISHED.

Leather boots in particular can often be repaired and restored well beyond what a first look might suggest. Services we offer for boots — depending on material and construction — include:

  • Sole repair and replacement
  • Heel repair
  • Leather cleaning, conditioning, and restoration
  • Stretching
  • Structural reinforcement where construction allows

Results are conditional on the boot’s material, construction, and current condition. Bring them in for an evaluation before assuming repair or replacement.

CAN THESE SHOES
BE FIXED?

Bring them in. We’ll look at the construction, materials, wear, and previous repair work before recommending what makes sense. Sometimes the best repair is straightforward. Sometimes the condition of the shoe limits what should be attempted.
